While they initially considered naming themselves the “Sons of Jonas”, they eventually decided on the Jonas Brothers.

In April 2006, the group also recorded a rendition of “Yo Ho (A Pirate’s Life For Me)” for the Disneymania 4 album.
Their First and Second Studio Albums
The Jonas Brothers released their debut studio album, It’s About Time, on August 8, 2006. Preceded by two singles, it came with eleven tracks including “You Just Don’t Know It”, “Please Be Mine”, “What I Go to School For”, I Am What I Am”, and “6 Minutes”. One of the songs, “Time for Me to Fly”, was also featured in the 2006 romantic comedy film Aquamarine.
To support the album, they embarked on their first promo tour, The American Club Tour, which spanned three months across the United States.
However, it wasn’t until the release of their second self-titled album in 2007, that their fame skyrocketed. Produced by John Fields, the album boasted fourteen new tracks including “When You Look Me in the Eyes”, “Kids of the Future”, “Goodnight and Goodbye”, “Still in Love With You”, and “That’s Just the Way We Roll.”
Praised for its “catchy hooks and musical guitar licks”, the album ultimately entered the Billboard 200 at number five with 69,000 copies sold, making it their first top ten albums in the US. Not only that, but their self-titled work also charted within the top 10 in Argentina, Europe, Columbia, Scotland, Spain, and Mexico, among other countries.
To this day, it’s their best-selling album with more than 2.4 million copies sold in the US alone.
A Little Bit Longer and Film Debut
Their third album, A Little Bit Longer, came out a year later on August 12, 2008. Preceded by three singles, “Tonight”, “Lovebug”, and “Burnin’ Up”, the album featured twelve new tracks and received generally positive reviews from critics, including those from Rolling Stone.
Upon its release, the album entered the US Billboard 200 at number one with more than 525,000 copies in the first week. Not only that but it also debuted at the top of the Top Digital Albums, Tastemakers, and Top Internet Albums Chart. It also stayed at the top of the Billboard 200 for two weeks with an additional 147,000 sales, making it their fastest-selling album to date.
Some notable tracks from the album include “Got Me Crazy”, “One Man Show”, “BB Good”, “Shell”, and “Pushin’ Me Away”. It also included “Video Girl”, which was later included in Rolling Stone’s list of 100 Best Songs of the Year.
That same year, they made their film debut in the Disney musical film Camp Rock, where they portrayed a band called Connect Three. In 2019, the Jonas Brothers announced on social media that they would be making a comeback. The long-awaited album, Happiness Begins, was released on June 7, 2019. What’s the Jonas Brothers Doing Now in 2024 – Recent Updates
In January 2020, the brothers released a new single titled “What’s a Man Gotta Do”, which peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard Hot 100. They also announced a residency show in Las Vegas, but it was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. They did, however, perform at the Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, where they revealed their new track “Five More Minutes”.
A year later, the Jonas Brothers announced via social media that they would be embarking on a new concert tour. Known as the Remember This Tour, it consisted of 44 shows across the US and required all attendees to be vaccinated against COVID-19.
