What Happened to Rob Kardashian – What He’s Doing Now 2018 Update

Rob Kardashian is a celebrity known mostly for his own celebrity. First brought into the public eye by his appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2007, Rob made his own name for himself in 2011 when he appeared on Dancing with the Stars. Since the earlier part of this decade, though, Rob’s presence on the Kardashians has slowly shrunk. What is the reality TV star up to these days?

Rob Kardashian – The Early Years

Robert Arthur Kardashian, Jr., born in 1987, was named after his father. Robert Sr., now deceased, married Kristen Mary “Kris” Jenner (née Houghton), in 1978, and had four children with her: Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and finally Robert Jr. Divorcing Kris Jenner in 1991, Robert Sr. would go on to make a name for himself as the defense attorney in the 1995 OJ Simpson murder trial.

Only a month after her divorce from Robert Kardashian, Kris married retired Olympian Caitlyn Jenner. They had two daughters, Kendall and Kylie, and Caitlyn brought with her four stepchildren: Burt, Casey, Brandon, and Brody.

In 2007, the show Keeping Up with the Kardashians premiered on E! TV. The focused on Rob’s sisters Kim, Kourtney, and Khloé, and parents Kris and Kaitlyn Jenner. The show frequently featured Rob, and his and his sisters’ half-sisters Kendall and Kylie.

While Rob was never featured prominently in the show, when he was present he frequently served as a foil to his sisters. During the first few seasons of the show, Rob was attending University of Souther California’s Marshall School of Business, graduating in 2009.

Rob Kardashian Now – Recent Update & 2016 Plans

In 2011, Rob was a contestant on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars, several years after his sister Kim had done the same. Paired with returning champion Cheryl Burke, the duo played second in the season. During the past few years, Rob Kardashian has also taken on several business partnerships, most notably his own limited fashion line. Focused on producing dress socks, he launched Arthur George in 2012.

“I feel like dress socks differentiate you in a different way – especially men in suits who just have the traditional business suit. The dress sock is the way to change it up in your mind and I like wearing my pants up higher so you see them,” Rob said to US Weekly. The success of Arthur George has distinguished Rob from the rest of the Kardishian family, who have frequently been criticized for being celebrities by being celebrities.

In 2015, his sister Khloé gave an interview to People, where she spoke candidly about her worries with Rob’s mental health. Rob, currently living with Khloé, has had struggles with weight gain and depression since leaving the show in 2012. His family, not just Khloé, speak frequently about their desire for his health and well-being, and has promised to give him any support that he needs. With these resources, Rob has the means to make a return to the spotlight, or at least a return to Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
