Tim Stansbury continues by saying that they have decided not to patent anything for two reasons. The first reason is that Grease Monkey Wipes is a brand new company, so they don’t really have the resources to patent it. Grease Monkey Wipes Now in 2018 – After Shark Tank
Tim Stansbury and Erin Whalen met each other because of their enthusiasm for cycling. They found out that there was a common problem that did not have a solution yet, at least, not one that wasn’t environmentally friendly. They hated the fact that they couldn’t easily wipe off grease and grime off of their hands, after working on their bikes. For this reason, they decided to start a company together that sells individually packaged wet wipes, concentrated with citrus oils, which is strong enough to clean up all kinds of stains and dirt.
At the end, Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec decided to go fifty-fifty on the deal and offered Tim Stansbury and Erin Whalen forty thousand dollars, in exchange for a forty percent stake in Grease Monkey Wipes. There is no mention of Grease Monkey Wipes being the best or worst on Shark Tank; however, the Sharks did love the enthusiasm and passion that Erin Whalen was showing.
To this day, Grease Monkey Wipes are being sold all over the internet and numerous different stores worldwide. You can find the official Grease Monkey Wipes website at http://www.greasemonkeywipes.com. On this website, you can read more about all the different Grease Monkey Wipes products, and order them if you would like to. You can also easily find Grease Monkey Wipes on Amazon. A box of twenty four Grease Monkey Degreaser Wipes costs $15,97 on Amazon.
Almost all of the reviews that are being left by customers is very positive. A lot of customers love the fact that the Grease Monkey Wipes not only cleans grease and grime, but also dirt, permanent marker stains and crayon stains. People love the fact that you can easily store the individually packaged wipes in their cars or in their backpacks. It seems like partnering up with Barbara Corcoran and Robert Herjavec has worked out very nicely for Tim Stansbury and Erin Whalen.
On season 7, episode 8, Robert and the sharks (Barbara wasn’t there) were pitched another (natural) hand-cleaning product called “Grip Clean.” Robert commented about his and Barbara’s investment in that company and said to the Grip Clean entrepreneur that they thought people would care whether or not their product was natural over their competitor’s chemical-based cleaning solutions and concluded that people “didn’t care enough” (his words). So even though the company may have made sales beyond pre-Shark Tank, I don’t think it exploded in sales the way the sharks (specifically Robert and Barbara) thought it would.
