So by now, hopefully guided by some of my assistance, you may be a little more of an expert in electronic cigarettes. But there is still one burning question that remains…. Which ones? Which ones are right for you? Which one is appropriate for your budget and delivers the best experience? And why? Within these final articles, I have listed numerous electronic cigarettes for various budgets – this one will focus on the budgets of $10 to $20, $20 to $30, and $30 to $40. These are the budgets that are appropriate for beginners who are not sure about electronic cigarettes, but are either looking for an alternative to smoking analog cigarettes (those gross paper things that you buy at the store for like $8 a pack), or are looking to enter the world of
vaping without spending too much money.

Unfortunately, your minimum investment will probably have to be in the neighborhood of the $15 range; you COULD theoretically find a deal on a kit for under $10, but it simply is too challenging to find a timely deal that is always available to new vapers.

$10 to $20 tier: eGo Blister Kit

As mentioned previously, blister kits are simply kits that contain 1 battery, 1 tank, maybe a couple of coils, and a charger – that’s it. Your purchase gets you into the world of vaping but no more. Unfortunately, this is the type of purchase for people who are not sure about vaping and just want to see what it tastes like and what the experience is like. These types of kits, blister kits, are available at a variety of different locations including head shops, gas stations, vape shops, and even available in tobacco aisles at some stores. Coils can typically also be found at the shop, but keep in mind that with the new FDA regulations, coils can only be purchased in a pack of 5, or however they are shipped and must be unopened.

Your purchase of an inexpensive blister kit will net you all the above items, sans the most important item – a bottle of juice to actually fill up the tank. However, do keep in mind that your tank will most definitely be plastic, and you should not use juices that are highly acidic nor should you use a high level of nicotine in your juice, as this can scald the tank and cause you to vape on sediment from the plastic itself. These batteries are typically in the range of 1000 to 1500 mAH (milliampere hours), which means you should have a live battery for more than a couple days before needing to recharge. These types of electronic cigarettes are also usually very high in their resistance, and range anywhere from 1.8 to 2.4 ohms. The more resistance (and the higher the ohmage), the less vapor will be generated, and the more chance you run to burn your coil or scald the juice as you inhale.

As mentioned earlier, this is definitely the type of purchase that you only ever want to make one of – if your tank breaks or you start to taste bad juice, spend a little more money and get a much nicer purchase.

$20 to $30 tier: Eleaf iJust S

This is a newer release and may require some shopping around in order to fulfill the requirement of sticking under the $30 budget, but an Eleaf iJust S is a brand new sub-ohm cigarette. Eleaf has been in the game for some time, and they came to fame with their initial release of the Eleaf Istick series which were extremely popular and well-priced during a time when vaping was brand new. An Eleaf iJust S is a complete kit and is actually a sub-ohm setup, which means that you will receive far more flavorful vapor at using less juice per draw.

I was able to find various colors of an Eleaf iJust S available through various online retailers for the price of $29, and your purchase will net you the entire rig which includes a tank, a few cils, the battery, and the proprietary eGo-style charger (where your battery simply screws on). The tank holds an astonishing 4 mL of juice, which means you should expect to be juicing up every 3 to 5 days. These types of electronic cigarettes are available in black and silver.

This is definitely the type of purchase that you can expect to last you for a year or so into your vaping experience before you want a more beefy mod that is equipped with a few more features. For those who want to save a little money, the iJust S is the newest model and there are previous incarnations of the same style of electronic cigarette, including the Eleaf iJust and iJust 2, which are also sub-ohm but with a less beefy battery (typically ranging 2000 to 2500 mAh, meaning you may need to charge it more). However, these tanks do hold a little bit more juice than the iJust S.

$30 to $40 tier: Eleaf iStick Pico

At the $30 entry tier, you should be a little more knowledgeable about your needs and requirements for a vaporizer and you may be even considering using a dripper at this point. I recommend the, again with the brand, eLeaf iStick Pico build, which is a box-style mod. This mod is equipped with an awesome display that is standard on box mods, and includes information such as resistance, battery charge, voltage, and temp control – essentially, it is the entire package.

The Eleaf iStick is a tiny little mod, however, and dependent on an 18650 battery to power the entire rig – although some purchases may include an 18650 battery, you are better off to purchase a kit which includes fresh, sealed batteries and possibly even a charger. The iStick Pico includes a micro-USB port up front, but this is only for upgrading the firmware of the device to keep it self-regulating and make sure that you won’t get a bad vape. The Pico tank itself is a small little powerhouse, and it is a sub-ohm setup that holds more than 4 mL of juice. For your purchase of around $37, this really is not a bad deal.

This is the type of mod that vapers dream about; not only is it extremely affordable, but the product delivers for the price. The vapor is thick thanks to the sub-ohm setup, and you can find a coil may last you upwards of 2 months before needing to be replaced. The biggest complaint I have is about the construction of the device, as the tank must be removed in order for the battery to replaced, but for an investment of $37 (and possibly free shipping), this really is not that bad of a deal for new vapers who are not looking to break the bank.

The post Best Electronic Cigarettes for new users – $40 and under appeared first on Gazette Review.

Your electronic cigarette can get pretty dirty, so maintaining it and making sure that it is functioning properly is a critical step. You should be frequently maintaining your device and performing some routine tasks on it to make sure that it still works. Here are a few things that you can do in order to keep your vaping experience the best it can be.

Clean your Tank

Not only should you clean your tank, but you should also ensure that all ports and surfaces of the electronic cigarette are clean; silicone cases/jackets come in super handy for this. In order to clean your tank, simply remove the atomizer and disassemble as much of the tank as you can. I highly recommend using only warm, soapy water to clean the inside of the tank, but I have heard of people successfully using acetone and rubbing alcohol – should you choose to use these two chemicals, do make sure that the tank has been rinsed out thoroughly and you are not vaping on the toxic fumes of rubbing alcohol.

In addition to cleaning the tank, also be sure to wipe down the threading of your device and clean out the ports. You can safely use rubbing alcohol or acetone to clean off the surfaces of

A gentle stream of water and a quick wipe are all it takes to clean out the juice buildup

your threading and your electronic cigarette, but make sure to apply the liquids to a towel before wiping down it down, as oversaturation can damage many of the electronics of your mod. Frequently cleaning your pins and threads ensures that no ‘gunk’ builds up, and that all the connections are made safely.

Coil and Re-Wicking

If you are using a tank or dripper that allows for you to rebuild your own atomizer (consisting of a coil and wicks), be sure to reassemble it every so often. This allows for a much better, fresher vape, and definitely delivers the maximum amount of flavor. Do also be careful, though, as these devices do not tend to regulate as well as many tanks and you can easily misfire while you are connecting the coils. Be sure your device is fully powered off, and disconnect the tank, if possible. Coiling and wicking takes a very steady hand, but you can safely use the same coils for a long time – if there is a buildup of gunk on the coils, run the coils (and the coils ONLY) under a gentle stream of water and fire the coils, and the water will break off the gunk upon contact.

Make Sure All Pins Connect

This is more of a safety tip than one it is to make sure your vape works appropriately; as you should know by now, the pin of your atomizer is what actually connects the power to the tank. The mod or battery draws power, which is then transferred to the atomizer, where it causes the coil to heat up and create the actual vapor that you will inhale. Whenever you disassemble your electronic cigarette, be sure to do any quick inspections for potential hazards or simply to see if your threading is beginning to wear away. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, after all!

Do note that most self-regulating devices have a cutoff feature, and if the pin connection is not satisfactory, then the device will simply not fire. This is a safety feature, and you should not attempt to circumvent this.

Don’t Use Bad/Wrong E-Juice

Do not use these types of tanks (plastic) for longer than you have to!

One of the more important tips, that I personally wish I knew when I began vaping, is to understand that all juices are different. While some are neutral and will not harm your tank, other juices are very acidic and can quickly eat away at the inside of a plastic tank. For users with more expensive setups, this is not a problem, but for your entry-level vaper, this can be a huge problem. More acidic juices, which are typically darker juices and juices that involve some menthol or are “craft” with a huge list of ingredients, can easily eat away at the inside of your plastic-coated tank.

There is not much you can do to remedy this situation, other than hopefully preventing it with a little bit of care and love. Most websites or brick and mortar vape shops will have symbols warning that a juice is acidic and can eat away at the inside of your electronic cigarette tank; for those with a glass tank, this is not an issue. Most employees or attendants are also fairly helpful, and can tell you whether or not a juice should go in a specific type of a tank.

In addition, be very careful with high nicotine juice; high nicotine juice tends to get more volatile the older it is. For example, I had a tank crack (and subsequently, gore me) because I loaded it with 9-month old Banana Nutbread mix, and this juice was also a 24 mg/ml mixture. The tank cracked and split after one press of the firing mechanism, which caused my juice to leak all over the floor and the tank to no longer be usable. If your juice is more than 6 months old, and already opened, toss it out. It’s not worth the risk.

The post How to Care for and Clean an Electronic Cigarette appeared first on Gazette Review.

With electronic cigarettes, quitting your bad smoking habit has never been safer or easier. Not only are electronic cigarettes a far cheaper alternative, but they also taste way better. If you’ve followed along with some of the guides and articles here, you probably know that there are three basic components to making an electronic cigarette work – a tank or some form of atomizer that will generate the actual vapor, a power source that also regulates how much vapor is going to be transmitted, and the juice itself that will get vaporized. The goal of this article is to introduce you to, but not teach you how, making your own juice is a better alternative than buying juice from overpriced brick and mortar shops and even shops online that specialize in “craft” vape juice.

Why Mix?

Mixing your own juice is not hard, but it does require the purchase of materials in order to get started. These will vary from person to person, but it all depends on how you decide to mix your juice; there are two ways to mix, which are by volume and by weight. Volume means that you are measuring out your ingredients prior to mixing and mixing by the volume, typically measured in millimeters for small-time mixers that don’t vape all day every day. Mixing by weight is the far easier option, which requires the use of programs or some advanced mathematics to convert the volume of your average 30 milliliter bottle into weight.

Mixing by volume is typically better for bigger batches, but requires far more precise measuring. Usually you would mix by weight if you were producing a lot of juice at once, or were looking to stock yourself up for several months at once – this is typically what the craft shops do, and then they further divide that up into smaller bottles that can be sold. Mixing by volume decreases the amount of money you spend per unit drastically, although you can easily end up with more juice than you know what to do with. Typically, you need larger, more expensive equipment in order to hold all your juice at once, as compared to mixing by weight.

Mixing by weight is the far easier option, and usually results in having your juice mixed right into the bottle and ready to vape immediately. This requires the use of a scale that is quite accurate, so one that can measure to the hundredths or even thousandths place is beneficial. To mix by weight, you would use a number of programs to calculate how much of each element you would pour in to get your final product. This is the consumer-friendly option, as the calculators and programs that do this are typically free and come preprogrammed with a variety of recipes or can export the recipes to share.

When mixing, you control the end-product; you decide how much nicotine you would like and what your propylene glycol to vegetable glycerin ratios are; for example, my brother and I mix juice together, but he vapes at about 80 VG and I only vape at around 40 VG. This results in having to perform two calculations, but we each get juice that we love. Not only is the end result more desirable to what type of vape you prefer, but you can also customize your flavoring to your needs; you can add in undertones or overtones, or take away a percentage of a flavor in favor of another. The possibilities are endless, and this is why I feel that mixing should be done by all e-cig enthusiasts – especially after the draconian Food and Drug Administration legislature that has been put into place in the United States.

The Electronic Cigarette Community

The best part about mixing your own juice is getting feedback and sharing the recipes – there are a number of enthusiast and hobbyist forums and locations where mixers will come to discuss their recipes and see what they can do to improve them. Typically, the recipes are based off of clones from real recipes, although mixing it yourself is a far cheaper (and smarter) alternative than buying juice every week or two. On these locations, the more veteran members are always willing to share some advice, and there are far more in-depth guides on how to mix and different techniques than what you might find here.

Of course, these are also a great place to trade and purchase juices from new start-up companies that are trying to sell juice; as a mixer myself that is fairly active in some communities, I always donate a little bit extra during a purchase which usually results in some free gifts of juice or even upgrading the size of the bottles I ordered. Be courteous and kind, and the community will be more than willing to give back to you.

Crash Course on Mixing

As a more casual vaper myself, I have never mixed by volume – only weight. As I said previously, mixing by weight is the smart choice for your average consumer that is looking to save some money on vaping, and does not require too much of a financial investment to start up; with around $100 to $150, you can easily have all the materials you need to get mixing. To start with mixing by weight, you need to consider the fact that you need a scale and how you are going to store your e-juice – meaning, do you want to use reusable bottles or Pyrex bottles, or use Unicorn-type bottles that can be disposed of if they get too gross? There are different benefits and drawbacks to each, but typically, going with a unicorn-type bottle is the smarter option due to the ease of transporting it.

Once you have your scale and your bottles, you will also need your mixing supplies – these consist of your liquids, as well as some other accessories that might make mixing far easier. I personally keep my propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin in two squeeze bottles, rather than having to use the gallon jugs that they came in. Of course, buying bulk PG and VG is a smart option, as you can typically let these sit for two years in a dark location without having them go bad and expire on you. After you have your PG and VG, which are your bases (your ratio is actually the base mix liquid), you then add in your flavoring – typically, flavors will be propylene glycol based. Do be aware that your base ratio of PG to VG can mutate the flavor, as VG tends to give off a more sugar-y flavoring if you are vaping on a heavy VG blend.

The flavorings can be purchased from anywhere, and most companies actually will sell their DIY bottles that contain just the flavoring; all you have to do is add in the PG and VG base that you desire. The flavors run cheap, typically costing no more than $3 for an 8 milliliter bottle, which ends up only being around 20 to 25% of the actual juice itself; an 8 milliliter bottle of flavoring, assuming you do not mix it with anything else, should get you around 30 or 40 millileters worth. Propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin sell for around $40 for a gallon, so this is why I recommend buying them in bulk to save as much money as you can.

It should also be noted that nicotine typically comes in a very high-strength solution, so if you still intend to put nicotine in your juice, you must take precautions. Typically, nicotine comes as a 100 milligrams per milliliter bottle, so a full bottle of nicotine can easily last you up to 5 or 6 months. But do take caution when mixing nicotine; if you spill it on your skin, it will give you one crazy buzz that could require you to go to the hospital. While everything else besides nicotine is not dangerous and does not require precautions, you should take every precaution when mixing with nicotine and put as many layers between the liquid solution and yourself as possible.

Your mixing supplies may consist of different things, but are typically no more than a couple of beakers, syringes, and stirring rods – most of the time, you can make your juice directly in the bottle that you intend to pour the juice out of. Most flavorings come as a squeeze bottle, which makes mixing your juice as easy as pouring yourself a complicated alcoholic drink. Mixing your own juice only takes a bit of practice and some patience, and you can easily be saving yourself an impressive amount of money while still getting a tasty vape.

The post Why You Should Make Your Own Electronic Juice appeared first on Gazette Review.

Smoking sucks. It’s unhealthy, it destroys your lungs, and it can easily destroy your life. Fortunately, thanks to the evolution of technology, smokers now have a much healthier alternative to turn to; vaporizing. Vaporizing is mostly confirmed as healthy, although nothing can be confirmed due to the risk of a liability, but when you begin to start vaping instead of smoking cigarettes, you’ll feel and notice the difference right away. No longer will you wake up and hack out a lung while reaching for that first cigarette!

Vaping can be a bit of a daunting task to get into and understand. There’s a fairly big culture behind vaping, however, so finding out some information (or even a friend who can teach you) shouldn’t be too hard. Most vape shops, whether they’re online or a physical brick-and-mortar store, will offer a variety of electronic cigarettes and are vast sources of knowledge which can help find the perfect electronic cigarette, juice, and anything else you might need, customized just for you.

Within this guide, I’m hoping to introduce you to some of the brands that I initially looked into (and used) when I was looking to quit smoking about 2 or 3 years ago. Today, I don’t really smoke any cigarettes at all (I’ll ask to bum one, smoke half of it then gag and toss it away) and I feel great – breathing is easy, and my lungs don’t feel so tar-ridden. Making the switch to electronic cigarettes over traditional “analog” toxin-ridden cigarettes early enough in your smoking career can be vital to help you quit smoking.

Blu E Cigs

Blu was the first brand of electronic cigarette I looked into, and possibly one of the most newbie-friendly. However, Blu also does have noticeable drawbacks, such as an expensive price and the fact that you’ll have to constantly be purchasing new batteries and flavor cartridges.

The self-contained kits that carry everything you need and will recharge it on-the-go

Blu E-cigs are cigalikes, and are marketed as a friendly tool to help newbies understand how personal vaporizers works. However, Blus are also about the same weight as traditional cigarettes, and since they’re cigalikes, they have the exact same dimensions as real cigarettes – although they won’t feel like paper, this was instrumental in helping me get back to my daily grind. If you’re like me and smoked a lot, then you will know that your fingers can sometimes get that “itch” if you’re doing something without holding a cigarette. Blus help to relieve that at the start, and their strongest quality is that they look just like cigarettes.

Blus come in two different forms; they are either disposable and last for around 500 puffs, or they are reuseable. The disposable electronic cigarettes from Blu can be picked up for around $8 from most pagodas or gas stations, and they offer a nice insight to how your own personal Blu would work and feel – not too much vapor, not too much liquid, but the menthol chill and the nicotine buzz is really nice. Disposables come in the flavor of menthol, or traditional, and only come with an 18 milligram-per-milliliter measurement of nicotine.

Reuseable Blus are a much nicer investment, since you won’t just toss it when you are done with it. A typical Blu kit comes with a battery pack/container, meant to store 1 battery, 3 cartridges, and 1 fully complete Blu e cig, a pack of 5 flavor cartridges to get you started, documentation, and comes complete with 2 batteries. Overall, the investment should cost you around $40 and can be picked up from a smaller selection of pagodas or gas stations. The reusable kits are extremely simple to use – the battery, which is the “end” of the device, is meant to be recharged and kept for as long as possible. The battery comes equipped with a blue light on the end of it (my favorite trademark of Blu is the black look against the blue lighting) that will communicate information to its user through a series of pulsing, including when you are out of juice and need a fresh cartridge. The cartridge is the part that actually goes into your mouth, and is where most of the work actually happens – it the cartridge that contains both the juice and the atomizer which will generate the vapor.

A breakdown of a Blu Disposable

One big thing that kept me on Blus was the fact that they have a customer loyalty program – I ended up getting a lot of free cartridges over the two years or so I used my Blu.

Blu cartridges come in a variety of flavors, starting with the simple menthol and tobacco, and going all the way up to french vanilla, cherry, and pina colada. The main drawback with Blus is the fact that refilling the cartridges can be a hassle, and sometimes the atomizers in the cartridges will burn quickly and leave you with a gross taste. Blus may not be all that reliable in taste, as a matter-of-fact; when I was near the end of my Blu career, I threw away all my batteries due to overuse, as they felt like they were burning the juice and causing it to taste nasty. However, Blus were instrumental in getting me to drop cigarettes and start vaping instead.

Juul Pods

The Juul, by PAX Labs, is a newer product to the market, and sadly was not as instrumental in helping me quit vaporizing since I only bought mine recently; however, I love my Juul. The Juul is an extremely tiny form-factor electronic cigarette, and I sometimes freak out because I lose mine. However, the Juul is a tiny device which delivers some serious vapor. The Juul is sort of like a cig-alike, but since it is square and not rounded, it doesn’t feel the same. Juul offers just as legitimate as a vape as a self-assembled device, though; it packs a ton of flavor and vapor into a discrete little device.

That’s actually how it charges.

If you’re familiar with the PAX herbal vaporizer, you may already have a clue on how the Juul works – the Juul comes with a magnetic USB charging cradle where you simply plop the Juul in, and let it charge. The Juul, like the Blu, comes with proprietary ‘Juul Pods’ which are clicked in and out of the Juul’s body. Just like the Blu cartridges, the actual Pods are what contain the juice and the atomizer. However, I have not gotten the nasty flavoring out of my Juul that I originally had from the Blu, which is why I continue to use my Juul.
Unfortunately, it seems like the Juul is a little more rare than its Blu counterpart; I know of two gas stations nearby that sell both the Juul starter kit and individual Juul pods of juice, and fortunately one of them is right next to my house. Should you want to purchase a Juul, you can easily do so online from the Juul Vapor website; a starter kit will cost you $50, but comes with free shipping! You get the Juul battery, 4 pods of juice (a variety so you can sample them all) and the USB charger. More pods containing juice can either be purchased in stores or directly from the Juul website, and a subscription feature is even available if you don’t want to keep ordering juice.

The biggest mark against Juul is the fact that they only have four flavors available, and refilling the pods isn’t the easiest task. The four flavors created by PAX Labs specifically for the Juul include cool mint, fruit medley, creme brulee, and classic virginia tobacco. The four flavors that the Juul does have, however, have been perfected and should help you quit smoking in no time. Cigarettes just have a fraction of the flavor that the Juul has.

KangerTech

Rounding off the list is KangerTech, who doesn’t quite make electronic cigarettes which are as easy to use as the other two brands, but are ultimately the biggest step in helping you to quit smoking. KangerTech makes a variety of electronic cigarette products, all of which are intended to be parts of a customized personal vaporizer build; they aren’t meant to be limited to just one type of device.

KangerTech does produce some of the best electronic cigarette devices, and have been in the game for just as long as anyone else – only Innokin and KangerTech have been in the game since 2007. KangerTech carries a variety of devices, starting with the simple stick-style eGo that only contains a small amount of juice and puts off a wimpy amount of vapor, building up all the way to their powerful sub-ohm devices. KangerTech is a little bit more overwhelming than the other two brands since you’ll have to really be worth your salt in order to get a pleasant vape, but if you can understand KangerTech devices, the vaping world is your oyster.

The EVOD starter kit, which is pretty famous for getting a lot of vapers into … vaping

KangerTech carries a variety of starter kits, which are important to the first-time vaper. I purchased the EVOD starter kit, which came with the typical two batteries, two tanks, a charger and a case, but I also got some juice since I purchased my kit in a store. This is the wonderful thing with KangerTech – their products are so good, so as long as you’re getting it from a legitimate store which didn’t get scammed into buying a clone, you can purchase it from anywhere. Most stores that carry KangerTech starter kits also carry the coils (these are important now, since they weren’t a concern for Blus or Juuls as those have the coils/atomizers built directly into the cartridge) and more KangerTech hardware.

Your understanding of a KangerTech device is your graduation from the “simpler” devices, so to speak; if you can understand all the parts of a simple KangerTech EVOD kit, then you should no longer require a device that requires you to purchase a proprietary component in order to get the vape. At this point, you can begin to explore the wonderful world of juices (there’s billions of flavors waiting to be found) and even begin to mix your own. However, the point to drive home remains; if you can fully understand a KangerTech personal vaporizer, then you should begin to take more aggressive steps to quit smoking.

The post The Best Electronic Cigarettes For Quitting Smoking appeared first on Gazette Review.

So, by now you’ve probably read one of the many guides I’ve created to try and help you quit smoking cigarettes or at the very least, understand more about electronic cigarettes. I stand by the affirmation that electronic cigarettes have been nothing but positive for your average consumer. They taste loads better than traditional cigarettes, and are nowhere near as unhealthy; plus, they’re easy to sneak in doors if you’re an employee of a job where you can frequently take breaks – wink wink, nudge nudge, but don’t get caught.

However, if you’re like me and soon get into purchasing a little too much vaporizing stuff, it can quickly get burdensome. Currently looking over my unorganized workspace, I see bottles, coils, a wrapper from a coil, an unfilled tank and my own personal device – it’s just a messy cluster. However, organizing your electronic cigarette hardware isn’t the only goal of this guide, as I am also looking to introduce you to the many accessories I’ve bought to complement my own ownership of an electronic cigarette.

Bottles – Glass and Plastic

Bottles are going to be extremely important for your electronic cigarette. Not only do you need the juice to actually generate vapor, but having extra bottles can be important. I always have extra bottles on hand, due to the fact that I make juice, but so I can also possibly borrow juice or lend juice out if needed. Typically, when you make any electronic juice purchase, you’ll get a plastic bottle – I typically label mine with a date when I purchased the juice and have it last for a year. The year isn’t a confirmed time that you should keep the bottle, but it’s the longest measurement of time that I’ll feel comfortable allowing myself to keep chemicals in a bottle. Remember, while the two main components to electronic cigarette juice are propylene glycol (extracted from animal fats) and vegetable glycerin (extracted from plant sugars), we don’t know how they do over a long period of time – they can begin to break down and use some of the plastic from inside the bottle. I just don’t feel that safe leaving a substance in a plastic bottle for a long time, and plus, the juice will start to taste funny after awhile, anyways. Typically, juice that has been sitting for a long, long time might separate if the components of it are heavy or differentiated enough.

Different colors of bottles, just like beer bottles

On the opposite end of the spectrum are the glass bottles. As far as I know, it would be next to impossible for juice sitting in a glass bottle to get any “bad stuff” in it from the bottle. Glass bottles for electronic juice typically come in either a blue or brown, which is recommended – it’s the same idea as beer bottles. If you have a clear bottle, the sun or the elements will have a much easier time affecting the contents of the bottle.
There are also various other types of bottles for contents, but one worth an immediate mention is the skinny, long type of bottle. If I know I’m going somewhere where I’m going to be vaping heavily, I’ll carry the bottle with me so I can easily refill my juice and not worry about having to bum. In fact, if I’m travelling with another vaper (typically my roommate), I’ll carry a bottle. Just because I’m a nice guy.
What I personally did was purchase 2 60 milliliter brown bottles, a pack of 10 30 milliliter plastic bottles, and then also 5 of the long-necked 30 milliliter bottles. This way, I have enough bottles if I decide to mix some juice one night, or if I want to let somebody borrow juice. Having too many bottles is never really a bad thing.

External Battery

Just imagine this, but with something a lot more pleasing than an iPhone

The electronic cigarette I own, the iTaste MVP 2, is pretty neat because it has the most underrated feature of all time (in my opinion); it has an external charger on the very bottom. However, most electronic cigarettes last the foresight of Innokin and thus, most other brand batteries just lay around when you no longer need them instead of doubling as an external batteyr charger.
An external battery can be really important for any vaper who doesn’t have constant access to a car charging port or a wall outlet. Your typical external battery will come with around 6,000 milliamp hours (MAH,) all the way up to 20,000 and beyond. Your average electronic cigarette battery or mod will have around 2,600 or more MAH, meaning you should get anywhere from 2 full charges all the way up to 6 or 7, depending on the type of external battery you purchase.
Owning either a second pair of batteries (for mechanical mods) or an external charger lets you keep vaping on-the-go, and possibly even serve as a life saver to someone else who needs a quick recharge. Don’t forget that most mods are charged by micro-USB, so your phone charger in your car or even at home can probably charge your USB, as well. Stick styles use a proprietary charger where they have to be screwed into the port.

A Vaping Lanyard

While you may look silly, the functionality will surprise you. Just don’t look to any loved ones or family members

Okay, this one might be a little ridiculous, but hear me out – vaping lanyards can be useful, but Good Lord do they look incriminating and dorky. However, I typically use my vaping lanyard only when I’m going on a drive somewhere – rather than leave my vaporizer in the center console or in the door, I instead just let it dangle from my neck. Seriously – I own a lanyard meant specifically for vaping. Vaping shops will typically give these away for free or for a cheap price through some customer loyalty programs, so I don’t consider a necessity to own – but seriously, just try wearing a lanyard attached to your vape. It makes you look like a tool, but for instances like driving, it really does make a nice difference.

Spare Tanks

I learned this one the hard way – ALWAYS keep a spare tank on hand. Most tank kits will come with an extra glass housing, but make sure you always have a backup available.

I had the misfortune of having a tank crack on me (and gig my hand pretty good), leading to a bunch of juice to pour out and a general mess to be created. Not only that, but I couldn’t even vape because of my damaged tank. Typically, tanks will crack/splinter if the juice has too much acidity in it, or if the juice is old and has a high nicotine content – the tank won’t explode, but it’ll crack, pop, and then splinter, requiring the user to either cut up their hand or use tools to remove the glass. Either way, the process is a pain, and I would recommend taking the steps to avoid having a cracked tank in the first place.

If your tank does crack, however, it’s important to either have a spare tank on hand, or the replacement glass so you can keep vaping. You can pick up replacement glass for cheap from vaping stores, typically, or just order it online for an even cheaper price.

On the same note, I would keep tools such as pliers, rubber-insulated gloves, and a little toolkit around. No, the rubber-insulated gloves aren’t going to be to prevent you from getting shocked, it’s just that you’re less likely to have a piece of glass pierce through heavy duty gloves.

Not an Accessory, but customize your storage

I use these to hold all of my vaping stuff, and it cost me $20 and a trip to IKEA

This isn’t an accessory that I can recommend you to go out and purchase, but instead I do recommend that you take great care in setting up your little electronic cigarette station. Things like shelving and railing can be important, as most components to an electronic cigarette are tiny – make sure to also keep them away from any pets or children, because certain parts can be swallowed, and you should DEFINITELY NOT INGEST ELECTRONIC JUICE. For this reason, I would specifically like to point out IKEA, who is my favorite shop for furniture; IKEA is fairly cheap and has a huge variety of goods, so my own personal electronic cigarette workstation consists of a variety of IKEA products, ranging from plastic bins all the way to shelving which holds it all. Of course, you can use whatever you like from wherever you like, but I personally use IKEA products since they are so cheap and can usually be modified with ease.

A Case

Classy.

Finally, the last accessory I can consider a necessity is a good case to hold all your electronic cigarette supplies on the go. Cases might not fit in jean pockets (especially not for women), but if you want to carry some complementary supplies for your personal vaporizer, then throwing a case in your backpack or purse can really help. I keep two cases ready to go; one just has a bunch of juice and a replacement coil for my usual device, while the other case actually has some eGo-style sticks in them, just in case I feel like I’m going somewhere where somebody may ask to use my vape to see what it’s like, such as a party or a gathering.
Cases won’t run too much money, but are great investments for helping the longevity of your device. Would you rather have the case hit the ground, or your precious metal device hitting the ground?

These are just the suggestions for accessories I have from looking around my workstation, and I think I covered most of the personalization I’ve done for my use in electronic cigarettes. If you use any of your own customization, leave a comment below and let us know how it works for you!

The post The Best Accesories for Electronic Cigarette Users appeared first on Gazette Review.

Picking the right juice for your e-cig is a vital for a good vaping experience. With the sheer amount of e-juice options available, it can get overwhelming to know which one to choose. Should you go for a home brew, or go for a multinational corporation’s wares- or somewhere in between? In any case, whether you like traditional tobacco e-juice, a custom blend of waffles and syrup, or a fruity taste, you are bound to find a flavor that fits your palette.

So here in no particular order, is a list of a few of the best e-juice companies and some of their signature flavors.

My Top E-Juice Flavors

Vaporfi E-Juice

If you are looking for safety and top-quality, this is the company to go for. They are based in the United States. Vaporfi uses kosher ingredients, and top-rated nicotine as well as better than food-grade flavorings to make the best product possible. Their lab is even registered with the FDA. They have three flavor lines, their Reserve, the Grand Reserve, which comes with a grander price tag, and custom blends. Another nice thing about this company is that they offer sampler packs. It comes with three 10mL bottles filled with custom blends of your choosing.

Mighty Menthol
Vaporfi’s Mighty Menthol flavor was the first e-liquid I’d ever tried, and subsequently bought for myself. It holds a special place in my heart. It helps that it is also delicious. When I smoked, my favorite cigarettes were Camel Crush menthol, and this e-juice provides the same menthol-y kick. If you like your minty flavor to lovingly punch you in the face, this is the flavor for you.

Gremlin E-Juice

Gremlin Juice is the second e-liquid company I was ever introduced to, and they make two of my favorite flavors. Based in Washington state, they only ship to the United States. All of their e-liquids are a 50/50 blend of PG and VG, and they boast that they make each bottle to order.

Breakfast Blend: Tobacco, Waffles, and Nicotine
If you prefer dessert flavors, this one is for you. It smells (and tastes) like the Post Waffle Crisp cereal. The maple flavor is rich, and it has delicious notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and a slight hint of tobacco to round it out.

Pink Sunburst
This one is reminiscent of the best Starburst flavor: pink strawberry. It’s a very strong strawberry candy flavor which is perfect for you fellow sugar addicts out there. Whenever I try and give up candy for a while, it is the perfect substitute.

Murica Vapor

You can’t buy this elusive company’s products from their website, as they are wholesale only. It was very difficult to research them as their site is mainly composed of Instagram images, but their signature flavor is very popular and delicious. They still deserve a mention.

Snozzcreme
Don’t let the bizarre name put you off. This e-liquid is delicious, but then I love sweet candy-like flavors. On the inhale, you get a refreshing berry taste without an artificial aftertaste. What kind of berries you ask? One Youtuber describes it as “a bunch of berries thrown into a bowl (…) picked off a tree, smashed up, juice extracted, and thrown in this” flavor. When you exhale you are treated to a heavenly cream flavor blended in with the berries.

Halo E-juice

This company is American-based, but they ship worldwide, which seems to be an oddity among e-cig retailers. They boast that their “nicotine is 99% pure” and their liquids contain an unspecified combination of “USP Grade Propylene Glycol and USP Grade Glycerin.” Their prices are decent at $19.99 or less for 30mL.

Malibu E-liquid
With a fairly sweet aftertaste, this e-juice is like vaping a pina colada with a slight minty twist. I love the coconut taste, but it is not overpowering. With over 500 5-star reviews, you can’t go wrong with this one.

This is not a comprehensive list by any means, but hopefully you found something new to try! Enjoy the cloud, friends.

The post Top 5 E-Juice Flavors – 2018 Edition appeared first on Gazette Review.

Electronic cigarettes are extremely popular, and rightfully so. They are a great alternative for quitting cigarettes, fun to tinker with and understand how the electronic components rate within, and are generally just pleasant to sit and puff on with so many flavors to taste and try. However, they can quickly spiral out of control in price. The truth is, electronic cigarettes don’t require a user to break the bank in order to get the best experience possible. Many places, typically brick-and-mortar, physical stores would charge a premium for some electronic cigarettes.

Cigalikes, which are popular for new vapors who are long-time smokers, can be found from both places below

Best Place to get an Electronic Cigarette Starter Kit: MigVapor

I had heard a lot about MigVapor through forums and discussions, so I was curious to learn more about their website and the electronic cigarettes offered. MigVapor offers several custom starter-kits, which run Mig Vapor exclusive rigs. The most deserving of the honorable mention is the SR72 Aspire 1300 kit. Mig Vapor constantly changes their electronic cigarettes around, as well as the starter kits and what is sold to customers, and the 1300 is the biggest step in the right direction to date. The SR72 Aspire 1300 kit runs an Aspire clearomizer metal tank, engraved with the Mig Vapor logo. This metal tank is fairly resistant, and while it

The Mig Vapor S72 starter kit has everything you need to get started and stay happy for a long time

does unfortunately have a little plastic window, this tank can hold juices which are known to scald or destroy plastic tanks (at a low enough mg, typically under 12 mg.) The atomizers/coils can be found throughout, and are on the cheaper side in terms of coils (online, I was able to find a 5 pack of coils for $7.99 – for a hardcore user who changes coils once a week, that should last a little over a month). Included in the SR72 Aspire 1300 starter kit are two custom-built EVOD type batteries, two tanks custom engraved with MigVapors’ logo, 5 replacement coils, a carrying case, and a few more little bells and whistles. The SR72 Aspire 1300 starter kit is available for just under $100 at the time of this writing, and for what seems like a high price, no maintenance should have to be performed on it for at least 2 to 3 months for a new user or the average user.

MigVapor also has numerous other products, including hand-crafted artisan juices, any coils for any of the tanks they sell, and numerous other starter kits which can be found for far cheaper than the afore-mentioned $100, but not as complete of a package.

Best Place to Shop for Electronic Cigarette Parts and Juice: VaporFi

VaporFi carries more exclusive, VaporFi brand mods, but I have yet to find a single bad thing about any of them. They’re expensive though, unfortunately

VaporFi is relatively new to the electronic cigarette scene, yet has made a far-reaching resounding impact. VaporFi has numerous starter kit options, which range from a low $29.99 for an evod-stick style type electronic cigarette, all the way up to the holy grail of the Vice Starter Kit at $99.99. VaporFi offers a great deal of customization for their customers, and also include a free bottle of juice on most orders. VaporFi has a variety of products, and also includes “cig-a-like” options with refillable cartridges. The website also has a Custom Vaporizer Builder, which is a neat feature that allows a user to select a battery, pick out a tank, and add accessories and juices for a discount. Pro kits are also available, which are considered entry-level electronic cigarettes, but also include a nice variable wattage for those who aren’t sure of what type of vape they want yet. VaporFi is very flexible in its options for not only starter kits but also its options – high quality, VaporFi custom boxes are available, which seem to be on the higher end of things (the VaporFi VOX TC in particular caught my eye), as well as other well-known brands, such as Kangertech and Innokin.

VaporFi is very flexible in its offerings to anyone who is looking to get into the electronic cigarette world.

Electronic cigarettes and vaporizers are two relatively new items on the tech scene that are quite popular. Both are used to discreetly and appropriately deliver substance to their user. Both are low-profile, sleek, and stylish. Also… both can be rather expensive. In this article, the one vaporizer I am immediately thinking of in my head is the Ploom PAX vaporizer (both model 1 and 2), a vaporizer used for herbal substances. Vaporizer is a broad term, which will be discussed more, and can include a number of devices, but the one in my head that sticks out clear is the Ploom PAX which you can read more about here. The terms “Vaporizer” and “Electronic Cigarette” are nearly interchangeable, as well; every electronic cigarette is considered a vaporizer, but not every vaporizer is considered an electronic cigarette.

Vaporizers can encompass a number of things, also including electronic cigarettes, but vaporizers are typically thought of as items that vaporize to the level of near incineration/combustion. Electronic cigarettes are devices that are used solely to deliver nicotine replacement in the form of electronic cigarette juice, or “e-liquid.” Vaporizers can hold a wide variety of substances, including leafy substances, sticky substances, juice-like substances, or any mix of the three. Vaporizers utilise an “oven” instead of a cartomizer, atomizer, or coil to do their job, meaning that no parts have to be replaced on a vaporizer, usually. Meanwhile, electronic cigarettes do require a bit of maintenance and care to use; while a vaporizer may just need to be cleaned or polished or de-tarred, electronic cigarettes require new parts to be put in – namely just the coil, but come electronic cigarettes do require users to replace parts every few weeks, dependent on use.

Vaporizers are meant to be used for more tobacco and leafy substances, while electronic cigarettes only handle juice. Vaporizers will typically meant to be disposed of, returned, or maintained when the contents have all been used up. Typically, vaporizers will produce more of a smoke than a vapor; rather, the contents of the “vapor” from the vaporizer will have something contained within other than simply water vapor. This can include THC, CBD, nicotine, alcohol, or any other chemical-based substance.

Electronic cigarettes also usually burn hotter than vaporizers, as well – this is due to the self-contained nature of the electronic cigarette, where the only thing that they are meant to work with is e-juice. This can produce a harsher vaping experience for some users. Electronic cigarettes are often smaller than vaporizers, due to the nature of the mechanics and devices required to power the vaporizer. Vaporizers may hold more e-juice, such as those disposable vaporizers, like the Blu disposable series. Vaporizers are more reminiscent of cig-a-likes, which are electronic cigarettes/vaporizers that are meant to look like, feel like, and emulate like traditional “analog” paper cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes will usually have some sort of LED or LCD screen which shows information, while a vaporizer might communicate in more unorthodox ways, such as using beeping or a system of flashing lights.

Vaporizers are usually sold unregulated, and are meant for the user to do with whatever they please. Electronic cigarettes are usually on a much more lockdown, with much more literature available for them to understand how they work and which electronic cigarette works the best for what the user desires. Vaporizers are made to be an introduction for users to electronic cigarettes, usually, and will usuallyencompass a different look if they do not have the “cig-a-like”qualities. Electronic cigarettes are meant to be a direct replacement for cigarettes, as well; it is in their name exactly what they do. Electronic cigarettes are meant to only deliver nicotine through the use of a properly loaded electronic cigarette juice, while a vaporizer may be made to deliver any sort of chemical from more solid state substances, such as leaf like substances, wax-like substances, or droopy honey-like substances.
