How did Celine Dion make her money & wealth?
Born on March 30, 1968, Celine Marie Claudette Dion and her 13 siblings were all happily raised in a musically-inclined household. Her parents ran a small piano bar where the family played music and where Dion performed onstage at five years of age. Seven years later Dion teamed up with her mother and brother Jacques in writing and composing a song titled “Ce n’était qu’un rêve” or “Nothing But a Dream”. The song was sent to manager Rene Angelil and, thanks to Dion’s impressive vocal prowess, a management deal was struck. Dion released her debut album in 1981 titled La voix du bon Dieu (The Voice of God) and was a hit in Quebec. Dion’s popularity spiked when she was invited to perform on television in the talk show of renowned host Michel Jasmin.
Seven albums later Dion took a break from singing after injuring her vocal cords. She also told Angelil about her dreams of becoming a star. The producer had Dion study English and subjected her to a physical makeover. Dion returned to the spotlight in 1990 with her first English studio album Unison which was well-received by critics. Her duet with singer Peabo Bryson on Beauty and the Beast the following year was what pushed Dion’s international presence to greater heights and earned her a first Grammy Award. Dion roared through the 90s with critically-acclaimed albums and singles until her hiatus before the decade ended.
Dion returned to the music scene in 2002 with A New Day Has Come and did well commercially, although critics were not very pleased. She continued to release both Anglophone and francophone albums, and had a residency show in Las Vegas called A New Day… which ran for four years from 2003 to 2007. Recently she has released a francophone album Encore un soir (One More Night) and has a residency in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace titled Celine until November 2016.

Also, Dion and her late husband Angelil purchased the Le Mirage Carolina golf course in Quebec. Her other products include eyewear (Celine Dion Glasses) and watches (Celine Dion Quintessential Timepieces). During the same year Dion inked an endorsement deal with automobile corporation DaimlerChrysler for the use of some of her songs in the album One Heart for an advertising campaign. In 2004 Dion collaborated with infant photographer Anne Geddes for the creation of a pictorial book titled Miracle: A Celebration of New Life with an accompanying album.
