How did Tara Lipinski Make Her Money & Wealth?
Born on June 10, 1982, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Tara Lipinski spent the majority of her youth in New Jersey. After learning technique from roller skating coaches in the area, she took up ice skating at the age of six. Determined to master various skills, it wasn’t uncommon for her to be on the ice by 4:00 am, prior to the start of school. Thanks to her hard work, however, she eventually made it to the national championships by the time she was nine.
A few years later, she rose to prominence after winning the 1994 US Olympic Festival competition as a junior skater. That same season, she also participated in the World Junior Championships and US Championships.
The following season, she became the first female skater to land a triple loop-triple loop jump combination in competition. With that, she successfully won the US Championships at the age of fourteen. Continuing her streak, Lipinski subsequent finished firsts at the World Championships.
From there, her popularity only increased further after she won the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano. Skating to a piece of music from the animated film, Anastasia, she finished second in the SP, behind Michelle Kwan. Despite this, she was able to turn things around in her FP- with the help of a triple toe, half loop, triple Salchow sequence, and successfully win gold.
Since her retirement in 2002, Lipinski has appeared in several TV shows (naturally, she’d be paid decently for each project). Some of these titles include At Home with Tara Lipinski, Generation Jets, 7th Heaven, Still Standing, The Metro Chase and What’s New, Scooby-Doo?Â
In addition to that, she had also landed a number of endorsements over the years. For instance, she has worked with the brands DKNY, Snapple, McDonald’s, Kodak, Coca-Cola, Smuckers, Target, and Campbell’s Soup, to name a few.
Since then, she has also published two biographies titled, Triumph On Ice, and Totally Tara- An Olympic Journey.
